This fascinating, beautiful, and unusual white wine from Duras in southwest France single-handedly dispelled a period of palate-torpor for one of our buyers. Just out of the bottle, the wine shows geranium and tomato leaf on the nose. Oxidative and full-bodied but not hot, with two hours open its floral notes become peaches and cream, fuzzy peach skin, wild blueberry, silky purple flowers.
