The Dominio de Pingus was born in 1985 when its owner, the Danish PeterSisseck, decided to buy a small vineyard (4.5 hectares) with very old vines of Tinto Fino. The vineyard, sandy soils in the heart of the Ribera del Duero very soon gave extraordinary fruits in the market with the most exclusive wine expensive and few are produced in Spain.
Red wine Flor de Pingus is made mainly Tempranillo, although it includes small percentages of merlot and cabernet sauvignon.
It belongs to the O.D. Ribera del Duero. Their winemaker is Peter Sissek. This wine is aged for 14 months in new French oak barrels.
