Vinification Details:
Still vinified as it has been for many years, using white wine techniques, with a long fermentation at strictly controlled temperatures. This process gives the product its unique colour, derived from juice fermentation whilst separated from the skins.
History:
One of the original “branded wines” Mateus was responsible for de-mystifying wine to a mass consumer market, and has grown across 130 countries worldwide. Much loved and much imitated by those seeking to copy its distinctive carafe style bottle, currently enjoying a resurgence of interest in the UK.
